The FumeGard NU-164 Variable Air Velocity fume hood is constructed from polypropylene and incorporates a bypass system to maintain a Constant Volume of Airflow (CAV). With the sash closed, air is redirected at the top of the hood, resulting in a slower increase in face velocity compared to conventional fume hoods. The deflector vane ensures airflow across the work surface, providing a permanent opening even when the sash is closed.

The NU-164 Bypass Fume Hood – now from LabAire Systems*, is a dependable solution for your laboratory needs whether you require a hood for acid digestion, trace metals or other laboratory analysis functions.

Equipped with an eye-level Control Center, this chemical fume hood allows easy control of exterior mounted fluorescent lights and optional electrical devices. The NU-164 can be tailored to meet your specific wet lab requirements. Its standard features include stress-relieved polypropylene construction, a counterbalanced polycarbonate view screen, and an interior fluorescent lighting system.

Choose from a range of optional features including PVDF lined interior or flame retardant polypropylene construction, varied work surfaces, and airflow alarm systems. Remote controlled service valves and custom sinks are also available. The FumeGuard NU-164 is offered in four models with varying dimensions and electrical requirements.
